Another experiment to try, which you read on the blog when I published Is it useful to write long texts? , is that of the article written jointly: two bloggers write a post together which is published in one of the two blogs. A sort of short-form guest posting, an external intervention inserted into a post. In my case I had started talking to my friend Pierluigi about the length of the texts of web pages and he had explained his theory to me. Searching online I saw that others abroad thought the same way. Thinking about the topic I found myself in agreement and so I thought of a post and proposed to my friend to intervene.
In the article written by both Phone Number Data hands I believe that the reader must understand who is speaking and when. So I decided to differentiate Pierluigi's intervention with a different background, which I use for the interviews. Even for two-handed posts there can be as many variations as bloggers can think of. Collective interview Some time ago I participated in a collective interview on the My Social Web blog , on the figure of those who write for the web and the labels that are usually attached to professionals. So I thought I'd launch a collective interview too. A post like this includes an introduction by the blogger who hosts the various interventions.
In my case I published three post-interviews, all dedicated to the female figure in the various fields of writing: web copywriting , blogging and creative writing . I looked for women to interview - most of them among my contacts on Twitter, blog, Google+ - and I contacted them by explaining the topic of my post and asking two or three questions. The various interventions are clear for the readers, a title for the name and their thoughts to follow. The benefits of multi-authored posts A twinned post allows you to jump from one blog to another, with an exchange of readers and perhaps even a gain in readers. A co-written post effectively introduces another blogger to regular readers.
